OKCANCEL

OkCancel is an artist collective founded in 2026 by Alessandro Povoas and Frédéric Zikes, both raised in Luxembourg. The name comes from the computer dialog window that asks you to confirm or abort, a small moment of decision at the heart of working with digital tools.

After the Lycée des Arts et Métiers they moved to Vienna, where Alessandro completed a BA in Interior Architecture and 3D Design and Frédéric a BA in Architecture. They have worked with 3D software for seven years and are moving towards film, combining physical craft, 3D environments and moving image. They follow new technologies, including AI, closely and with an open mind.

In Vienna they built a strong network and contributed to the cultural scene. Through Frédéric’s exchange at the University of Hong Kong and several commissions they also have strong ties to the Hong Kong arts scene, with contacts to labels and collectives there. The two have been friends for a long time, work in an organised way and get things done.
